Hotels and Guesthouses

Because we know there will be a range of needs and budgets, we did not book a block of rooms anywhere. We will be staying at The Riverhouse on the Deschutes and have checked out Campfire, which also looks like a good option.

What to Do

Activities in the Bend Area

In the geographic center of Oregon, Bend is nestled between the eastern sides of the Cascade mountains and the high desert. It has a dry, high-desert climate with generally moderate days and cool nights. The population is around 100,000, so a small city or a big town, depending on your perspective. Big enough to have great restaurants and other amenities, small enough that everyone is friendly.
