Are we there yet? So close!

Here is some helpful info for when YOU are trying to get there (ie, transportation info).

There is parking at the property but not an excessive amount. Also, it is a winding, two-lane highway to get there and you may not want to drive that after the party. So, for your transportation pleasure, there will be a SHUTTLE picking up and dropping off at two locations in Bend:

4:15pm Fred Meyer parking lot in front of Big 5 61535 S Hwy 97, Bend, OR 97702 Pick up 1

4:30pm Macy's parking lot near Verizon Wireless 3188 N Hwy 97, Bend, OR 97703 Pick up 2

Rest assured, you will not miss anything if you take the 4:30pm shuttle! There will be shuttles departing the event at 9:30pm and 10:30pm to return you to your cars. Both pickup locations are large parking lots and leaving your car there should not be a problem -- we aren't in Portland anymore, Dorothy!

Jordan’s Story

Jordan grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, the Seattle area, and just outside Philadelphia. She fled back to the west coast following high school to attend Stanford University. After international adventures and some flailing about in San Francisco, she returned to her lifelong love for animals, graduating from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. In 2014 she moved to Portland. This allowed her easier access to her other passion: the mountains. After nearly a decade as an ER vet, she now works in Urgent Care when she is not trail running, backpacking, paddling or pedaling.

SCOTT’S STORY

Reared in Kentucky and Ohio, seasoned in Michigan, Florida, and New York City, Scott Nechemias arrived in Oregon on New Years Day 2009. Since then his days have been filled with dogs and time spent outside exploring the Pacific Northwest, all the while adding to his list of things he said he'd never do: yoga, packrafting, carrying a camera while hiking, backpacking in the winter, and bowling a NEARLY perfect game. He hopes you'll join him in Bend for one more thing he wasn't sure he'd ever do: get married!

Must Love Dogs

Meeting in 2019 om Hinge, we initially bonded over our respective professions of veterinarian and dog trainer. After Scott offered to care for Jordan’s dog while she was in Africa, Jordan determined Scott was a good egg. Despite the fact that Scott changed Jordan’s dog’s name while she was gone, their relationship solidified when she returned. They share their mutual loves of dogs, mountains, adventures and type 2 fun. While hiking in 2022, Jordan was thinking how much she wanted to go to Pategonia and thought a honeymoon would be the perfect opportunity. So she said “Do you want to get married?” Jordan later found out she had Covid at the time of the “proposal” but they determined it wasn’t a fever dream and (slowly) moved forward with wedding plans!
